Apple
Schildergasse 1-9, 50667 Köln
,Pohland-Haus’ is home to Apple’s inner-city Cologne store. The building has been renovated and the historic façade features windows set in bronze. A stunning hanging spiral staircase made of glass connects the two floors in the four-metre-high space. The Forum on the upper floor has a video wall for presentations and workshops as part of the Today at Apple programme.
Decathlon
Dürener Str. 458, 50858 Köln
The French sports goods group recently doubled the size of its store in Cologne-Marsdorf, which is now its largest location in Germany. The expansion included the addition of new testing and training areas for sports such as basketball, volleyball, climbing and cycling. For the first time, there is also an 18-hole golf simulator where customers can tee-off virtually.
Dille & Kamille
Breite Str. 29, Opern-Passagen, 50667 Köln
In October 2021, the Dutch company Dille & Kamille opened a location in the Opern Passagen in Cologne. The store is intended to provide an oasis of calm in a hectic city centre, with bright and clearly arranged sales areas that include lots of wood and green plants.
Dyson

,Dyson Demo Cologne’ is the name of the technology company’s branch. In a futuristic ambience, not only classic vacuums are on offer, but also beauty products such as hairdryers, styling appliances as well as air purifiers and lights.
Globetrotter

This 7,000-sqm store is still the go-to address for lovers of hiking, traveling and the great outdoors. The space is constantly evolving, with the addition of visual highlights and a new lighting concept; new cooperation partners, such as the recent addition of an area for Rose Bikes; and service offers such as care & repair. The floors elegantly encircle a large elliptical atrium, which terminates in a large pool at the base.
Jean & Len
Neumarkt 2-4, Neumarkt-Galerie, 50667 Köln
At the heart of this vegan personal care and lifestyle brand’s flagship store is a package-free area where customers can fill their own containers with soap. The range includes cosmetics, stationery and home and living products, and some of the items are exclusive to the store. The store’s bright interior features cream-coloured tiled walls and botanical elements. A bright pink thread curtain is the perfect place for selfies.
Manufactum
Brückenstraße 23, 50667 Köln
The department store is housed in the six-storey Disch-Haus, a New Objectivity style building from the 1930s. It is one of the most striking architectural examples of the movement in the cathedral city. The building’s rounded shape pays homage to the infinite curve, and the façade is structured horizontally with alternating slabs of Canstatt travertine and bands of filigree framed windows. Manufactum’s store design transports this style inside, where all manner of ‘good things’ is on offer over a sales area of around 1,000 sqm.
Maisons du Monde

The furniture and home décor store allows customers to develop their own creative ideas. In the ‘Deko-Atelier’, they can find inspiration in fabric patterns, sofa covers and the materials and wood colours of the various collections, and bring their own personal design projects to life.
Obi „Machbar“

The Obi Machbar is the DIY chain’s smallest store format. Opened in March 2022 in Cologne’s city centre, this new do-it-yourself concept offers a permanent range of DIY products as well as a monthly range of themed goods. Workshops and events are also held in the 250-sqm store. A special area on the basement level offers a compact assortment of DIY products tailored to inner-city needs.
Ortloff
Zeppelinstraße 4, 50667 Köln
Founded in 1923 in Cologne by Erich Ortloff, this office supply company uses a store concept with a clean, minimal design language to position itself as a high-end store with lifestyle appeal. Wooden slatted panels in a real walnut veneer, a creamy white ceiling, grey walls, a stone floor and a concrete look all stand for ,modern classic’.

Cherry trees 2.5 metres tall adorn this Cologne store of the Dutch cosmetics brand founded in 2000. In a space of 180 sqm, a corner seating unit and a dining table with chairs invite customers to linger. The entire range of feel-good labels is arranged on the shelves – from body creams and scrubs to clothing, room fragrances and candles.

In November 2021, the Telekom flagship store was reopened after extensive renovation. The shop is designed as a brand experience. Customers can touch, try and get to know the products in a space that celebrates the brand and cares for customers. The store-and-loft-style area features an ‘urban & green’ design with a focus on sustainability.
Xperion – The ,Saturn E-Arena’

A sea of flashing computer screens, PlayStations, areas with headsets and VR glasses, a large e-arena with a stage for events, possibly the longest Red Bull bar in the world and much more: the 3,000-sqm two-storey space will have gamers’ hearts beating faster.
